With a windscreen, I can get away with about 3/4 oz for 2 cups of water. Without windscreen, It's around an oz. I have heard tell of people doing way better though. Good luck
I use a base calculation for measuring water to fuel combinations. I can get 2-1/4 cups of water(1/4 cup evaporates with the heating process at 2 cups) to boil in 6-1/2 to 7 minutes. The stove burns until approx. 9-1/2 minutes. I let the stove burn for the extra time to allow for colder/windier conditions than my living room.
Anyway, congrats with the alcohol stove construction!
PS: I use a red bull can for the stove and a Heineken keg can for the pot. I use the yellow bottle of HEET (not the red bottle of HEET).
