From the SHTA...
"April 9, 2010: The weather has continued mild with no new precipitation. The SHT is free of snow and is drying out nicely but it is still wet and muddy in many places. It's about a week or two away from being in good hiking condition. This is the earliest the trail has ever been ready to hike!"
