Superior Hiking Trail?

Since our expedition size is in question, I'm proposing a three to four day hiking trip on the Superior Hiking Trial for Memorial Day. It's the easiest trip to put together (we don't need to get canoes, permits, etc) and the most flexible for crew size. If we pick a southern part of the trail near Two Harbors, we can be there in three hours.

I'd be up for leaving Thursday or Friday and coming back Monday or Tuesday, depending on everyone's schedule.

For the route we can either go halfway and then backtrack, we can loop around on another trail, or we can use the SHT shuttle service. Depending on where we go, looping around could be a much better option for us than it was in November, as the North Shore State Hiking Trail is in the area, and is an actual hiking trail as opposed to a XX Ski or Snowmobile trail. The two trails intersect at numerous points. The shuttle service is easy enough, but may limit our entry point times.

Memorial Day at the...

Hey team, just checking to see what kind of interest there is in a Memorial Day trip this year. We talked a little bit before about a Isle Royale Trip. I'd also be down with just about any other type of expedition. So if anyone wants to do some hiking or canoeing over the long weekend, let me know and we'll get moving on it. We should decide soon so we can get permits if necessary.

Also..I have my Winter Expedition 2008 journal still, so I'll be trying to get that posted sometime in the near future (along with my pictures!).

Stampede Trail

We could check out the Stampede Trail in Alaska, look for the Magic Bus. # 142, coincidence?

Yeah, that's not going to happen. Unless you want it in monopoly money. I'll buy you a burger the next time we go to the Team 42 Culvers.

An IMPORTANT Reminder

Make sure to adhere to this rule.  It is the basis of Team Forty Two's expeditions:

Never wear a day hat to bed.  Never wear a night hat during the day.

It's just ridiculous.  You'll look really stupid.

Also, you must have a tassel on your day hat. 

Otherwise you will look really stupid.
